THE FACTS: Unimportant & frequent Facebook posts can get you ‘unfriended,’ but so can political and crude posts
There is much research on how people form ‘friendships’ online. However, no one has really looked at why people ‘unfriend’ on Facebook. Until now.
A University of Colorado study found that ‘unfriending’ is quite common. Respondents to this survey say they are either hurt or amused when someone unfriends them — it all depends on the reason why and who did the ‘unfriending.’ The top 3 reasons people ‘unfriend,’ read on:

- Making Frequent, Unimportant Posts – If you are about to post your 100th message about Justin Bieber, you might just be unfriended.
- Posting on Polarizing Topics, Such as Politics – You might just be unfriended if you post anything about Sarah Palin or Barack Obama.
- Posting Crude, Inappropriate or Racists Posts – If it’s not appropriate for your parents to see, don’t post it.
Keep Your Posts Tame Because Employers Check
Future employers will check your facebook to determine if you are a fit with their company. The same kind of posts that can get you unfriended, also look bad to employers.
The study, which questioned 2,667 managers and human resource workers, found that 35 percent of employers decided not to offer a job to a candidate based on the content uncovered on a social networking site.
Just remember: When in doubt, be civil.

I had one of my childhood bullies find me on facebook.
I’m 40 years old and this person found me and was threatening me again so I blocked her and I reported her.
She used slander and vulgar threats to kill me when she see me again.Her name is Melissa Jones and she lives in Rancho Cordova, California.
I absolutely refused to allow this to happen to me at my age. I am a grandmother of two and this type of behavior should not be tolerated by anyone. I almost deleated my facebook account over this.

Are we talking about Facebook bullies?.My girlfriend got me started on fb. I didn’t listen to her about friending people I did not know that well. My ex and his girlfriend came after me using fake names and other people’s computers. A woman I used to know a so=called “musician” Hyjacked my page and had other people help her inundate my homepage with endless posts and pictures. Carolyn Striho. Yes dear, you so desperately seek my approval you need me to show up in person and Yell. ypu suck! to your face.Don’t worry I haven’t forgotten..because while you and your cohorts were trying so hard to keep me off the computer, meanwhile someone else was trying to contact me via fb (They didn’t have my phone number) about a child in trouble.
